A TD47 Products cable tie, also known as a ty-rap, tie wrap or bundling strap, is a type of fastening material that is specifically designed to hold materials together quickly and easily. Once the pointed end of the cable tie has been inserted into the hole on the other side and has passed the first rib, it cannot be pulled back.
Cable ties can be tightened by hand or with special cable tie pliers, which pull the cable ties to their maximum tension and then automatically cut off the excess.

TD47 Products Standard Cable Ties are made from polyamide (PA 66),
a plastic that is mainly used in injection moulding processes.
Polyamide is a hygroscopic material. This means that
polyamide not only absorbs moisture, but can also release it. For optimal use of polyamide cable ties, it is important that they have a moisture content of at least 2.5%, which gives the cable ties their optimal properties.
The packaging in which TD47 products cable ties are delivered ensures that the moisture content in the material remains at the correct level for as long as possible. It is therefore important to store the polyamide cable ties in the closed packaging in which they are delivered, so that the quality of the cable ties is guaranteed for as long as possible.
Our tips for storing cable ties:
* Store cable ties in the packaging in which they are supplied. We recommend using opened packaging within one year.
* Do not store cable ties in sunlight, as you sometimes see in construction vans "on the dashboard", as this is not good for the quality.
* Do not store cable ties near heat sources, such as radiators or hot air heaters.
* The optimal storage conditions are around 23°C with a humidity of around 50%, preferably in a cupboard or case away from direct sunlight.
