The TD47 Products Heat-Shrink Tubing H-2(Z) is a thin-walled, flexible heat-shrink tubing for insulating, protecting and bundling cables and wiring. Thanks to its combination of a low shrink temperature, flexibility and high mechanical strength, this heat-shrink tubing is suitable for a wide range of applications.
The heat-shrink tubing is widely used in sectors including the electronics, communications and automotive industries, but is also ideal for general use in the workshop, service van and during assembly and repair work.
Available in various colours, which means the heat-shrink tubing can also be used to clearly identify and distinguish between cables and wiring.
The TD47 heat-shrink tubing is UV-resistant and suitable for use at temperatures ranging from -55 °C to +125 °C. Once shrunk, the flexible tubing forms a tight protective layer around the cable, helping to protect it against wear and mechanical stress.
The heat-shrink tubing is supplied in a handy dispenser box, so you can quickly and easily unroll and cut off the desired length.
For added organisation and convenience, a separate dispenser rack for 6 dispenser boxes is also available. Handy for keeping your workbench tidy or your van well-organised.
Heat the heat-shrink tubing with a heat gun. The heat causes the tubing to shrink tightly around the cable. Shrinkage begins at around 70 °C. Full shrinkage is achieved at approximately 100 °C.
Move the heat gun gently and evenly back and forth whilst heating. This ensures the heat is distributed evenly and prevents localised overheating, unevenness or damage to the heat-shrink tubing.
Tip: heat the heat-shrink sleeve gradually until it fits snugly around the cable. This will ensure a neat and professional finish.
