The TD47 Products High-Voltage Self-Fusing Tape is a flexible, self-fusing tape for sealing, insulating and protecting joints and pipes. By wrapping the tape under tension during application, it fuses with itself to form a compact and watertight layer.
The tape is suitable for a wide range of repair and sealing applications, such as plumbing joints, water pipes, garden hoses, drainpipes and other pipes. It can also be used to waterproof and electrically insulate connections.
Thanks to its high electrical insulation rating and a specified breakdown voltage of 69 kV, the tape is suitable for specific electrical insulation applications, including those involving high voltages. Always use the tape within the applicable technical specifications and application limits.
The vulcanising tape is also practical for emergency repairs, for example on radiator and engine hoses or certain electrical connections in vehicles. The tape is also suitable for use whilst camping, for water sports and in maritime applications, where protection against moisture and salt corrosion is required.
The tape can withstand processing temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +90 °C and has a thickness of 0.50 mm.
